On Behalf of Linda Gail Guzman

If she were here to write this herself, hewould have said hank you to everyone that had her and her family in their prayers. Her sole purpose in life was to bring people together and to acknowledge that there is a "loving God" who awaits, all who believe in him, in heaven.

On Behalf of the Guzman Family

With a broken heart I write this. I would like to say thank you to everyone who was at the scene and prayed with me, or was just tere and prayed to themselves. A special thank you to the emergency personnel, Shrriff Department, and Life-Flight for the extra ordinary care they provided for us. Also to everyone who had anything to do with Linda's funeral whether it was prayers, flowers, money, food or just a kind word, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Words cannot express what that has meant to my family. To all her friends and mine, and the people who didn't even know her but still had a prayer for her and her family Thank you and God Bless everyone.

So very sorry to hear of Linda's passing. So tragic. My heart goes out to you, Fidel, Laverne, and the whole family. It breaks my heart, for such a sweet lady to be taken from her life on earth. She's resting now, and her memories will live on with you all, forever. No one can ever take them from you. Linda and I played together when we were young girls, and lived in the same neighborhood. Those memories will always be with me. May God bless you and keep you!

To the Guzman Family & Friends,
I am very new to the Siena community but my office is located in Sage Union where I had the pleasure of meeting Linda. She greeted me everday with a smile and assisted me in locating other buildings and/or people throughout Siena. I looked forward to seeing her everyday - I can't help but think if she was able to make my life brighter just with a simple smile what did she do for her family and friends - You are truely lucky to have had her but I am so sorry for your loss - She will be missed everyday by so many. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers!

Dear Linda's family, I had the pleasure of working with Linda for 2 years while our office was in Sage Union. I would see Linda every morning and she instantly brightened my day by her smile and greeting. We shared so many good conversations about family and life. She hugged me when I lost my dog and laughed with me when we had a funny story to share. Linda worked diligently to keep an old building looking its very best. She took care of the building, but more importantly, she also took care of everyone who used the building. She was a wonderful woman and will be missed. Please accept my sincere sympathy for your loss and know that you are in my prayers.

Fidel and family, it is my prayer that God will be with each of you and wrap His arms around you and give you the comfort and strength you need during your time of sorrow. Linda was a true friend and I will always remember her as one of the kindest, caring Christian ladies that I have been blessed to have the privelege to meet. The impact that her life made upon the Siena community will continue to live on with so many hearts and lifes that she touched through the years. She always had a smile on her face as she spoke with love and pride about each of you. Every year I looked forward to a Christmas calendar from her with Scripture verses and she once asked if she could take a picture of the following message I have in my office:
"Just think, you're here not by chance, but by God's choosing. His hands formed you and made you the person you are. He compares you to no one else - you are one of a kind. You lack nothing that His grace can't give you. He has allowed you to be here at this time in history to fulfill His special purpose for this generation."
May God Bless in each of your lives. Rick Smith, Custodial Director, Siena Heights University

Fidel and family, with my heartfelt sympathy, please know my heart is burdened by the loss of my dear friend, Linda. There are no words to express the sorrow that the Siena community is experiencing right now. She was a wonderful worker, really went above and beyond to help everyone she could, and was truly loved by all. She worked in our building, took so much pride in all that she did, and I only hope she knew how much we really appreciated all that she did for us. She was meticulous about her work and we will always remembering her taking the time to polish the brass in our building so that our old building would still look its best. As of late, she was preparing an office space for me, wanting to make sure everything was just perfect. On a personal level, I will always cherish the talks we had about our sons which as we grew older, later transitioned into talks of our grandkids. Linda was a good listener, offered good advice and I will really, really miss her. God bless you all each and every day. Annita Aranda, Upward Bound, Siena Heights University

My mother chased this clown at the Blissfield Festival so that she could have her picture taken with him. She is one of the few people that actually loved clowns.

Life Stories

I first met Linda in Kindergarten and she instantly became my closest and dearest best friend, we lived next door to each other until high school and we were inseperable. there are so many memories it's hard to know where to start. we used to always joke about how on the first day I said to her "hi, I know your name it's Lucy! There were teen dances at the Armory, playing with Barbie dolls while her dad (who worked 3rd shift) was trying to sleep and we would laugh and carry on untill he woke up and made us go outside, The many sleep overs at her house, and the time my dad asked if she wanted a bite of pepper which turned out to be a hot not sweet pepper- I can still see her face.. there are so many more but I remember that each of us never had another best friend until Fidel came along and then it was the 3 of us but Linda's heart belonged to Fidel from day one. I can't quite remember when we went seperate ways but over the years I still thought of Linda as my one and only true friend. There has never been another best friend that could ever take her place.

I feel so blessed to say that my mother and I had a close relationship. She was smart and witty and gave the best advice. She was an excellent cook, teacher, and friend. She loved her family and would do anything for them. The thing I most love about her, is that she gave her all in anything that she attempted, things were never half done, she was a fireball of energy. I will love and cherish her memories, always.
