Randall D. Klesener, 49, of Nauvoo, Illinois, passed away at 12:41 p.m. Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.

Born November 16, 1962 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Fort Madison, Iowa the son of Dennis J. and Barbara P. (Siegfried) Klesener. On October 17, 1992 he married Angela Sheets at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Nauvoo, Illinois.

Survivors include his wife Angela, one son Nicholas, his parents Dennis and Barbara Klesener of Nauvoo, Illinois, two sisters Jeanne (Virgil) Hellige of Fort Madison, Iowa, Kathy Ann Kramer of Fort Madison, Iowa, mother and father-in-law Roy and Linda Sheets of Fort Madison, Iowa, two brothers-in-law Michael Sheets of Nauvoo, Illinois, Leroy Sheets of North Carolina, four nieces, one nephew, one great-niece, five great nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, one aunt, two uncles and one cousin.

Randy was a 1981 graduate of Nauvoo Colusa High School. He was a member of the Nauvoo Presbyterian Church and worked as a self employed carpenter. Randy was an avid Cubs and Raiders fan. He enjoyed gardening and doing some charity work for the local communities.

Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 1, 2012 at Nauvoo Presbyterian Church in Nauvoo, Illinois. Where the family will meet with friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. that evening.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the Nauvoo Presbyterian Church in Nauvoo, Illinois with Pastor Mark Anderson officiating. Burial will be at the Nauvoo City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his memory for his son Nicholas.

Randy did a lot of work on my house. He was always such a nice guy to have around and always had a smile and a good word. He really enjoyed his work and was eager to discuss not only the job at hand but other jobs. He used to tell me how he did things on his own house.

We will miss him.

I liked Randy. He always had a smile and in good spirits. He was a good carpenter. He will be missed by all who knew him.

I remember Randy from Junior High and he also did repair work for Forrest and me when he worked with Harold Siegfried. A good worker and very helpful.
