Tribute & Message From The Family

Dorothy Anne Tilson, age 69, of Adrian, Michigan passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016, at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital.
She was born on January 20, 1947 in Mercer, Pennsylvania to John and Lucille (Burdette) Komar. On March 3, 2003 she married Russell Tilson. Dorothy was a person who was always doing things for other people. She cheered up friends and relatives by remembering birthdays and anniversaries. At the supermarket people would seek her out if they wanted to know something. We can't say enough good things about Dorothy. It will be difficult to get by without her. Heavens gain is our Loss. Almost forgot she loves animals, especially Mickey, her dog.
Dorothy is survived by her husband Russell; a son, Craig Gerber of Caro, Michigan; a step son, Michael (Susan) Tilson of Santa Cruise, CA.; three step daughters, Mary Tilson (David McQueen) of Berkley, CA.; Susan Tilson of South Lyon, Michigan; Jane (Joe) Otten of School Craft, MI.; a brother, Roland Komar of Cochranton, PA.; and granddaughter, Jenna Otten.
She is preceded in death by her father.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian.
You may send condolences to the family at www.andersonfuneralservices.com. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joe's Food Pantry.

Condolence & Memory Journal

Dorothy was a friend and classmate. It comes as no surprise to me to hear of her kindness, caring and generosity of self. That's how I remember Dorothy from all those years ago. May you feel God's presence as you face the difficult days ahead.

I was so sad to hear the news about Dorothy. It was an honor to have known such a wonderful person. Christmas Eve at Sue's was always more special with Dorothy's homemade goodies that she lovingly wrapped up for each of us to take home. I also enjoyed spending time with her and the Tilson Family in Western Michigan last year. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the Family during this difficult time.
