Condolence & Memory Journal

You boys were only a twinkle in your parents eyes when they were so young. Catherine was older than your aunt Frances and me but many nights we spent the evening in the upstairs apartment with her while Kenny was in the service. There were several of us local girl friends. I don't remember that far back what we did besides just visit and have a place to "hangout". Maybe one of the other girls can remember. I went to the same church with Catherine for many years and visited her once at Cambaria shortly after she was there. She is one of my fond memories of life in the very small town of Britton. God Bless her.

Catherine was always kind to my mom. When she was unable to drive anymore, Catherine regularly picked her up and drove her to the Auxiliary card club in Britton. I will remember Catherine's kindness and her willingness to help others.

Mrs. Smith was an amazing, encouraging teacher. I was lucky enough to be in her class for both 1st & 3rd grades. Her influence helped lead me into a teaching career of my own. I will never forget her. Prayers for her family and friends.

Candle

A limb has fallen from the family tree
I hear a voice that whispers, Grieve not for me'
Remember the best times, the laughter, the songs
The good I lived while I was strong
Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you
Keep on smiling, the sun will shine through.
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest
Remembering allhow I was truly blessed
Continue traditions, no matter how small
Go on with your lives, don't stare at the wall
I miss you all dearly so keep up your chin
Until that fine day we're together again.

I'm sorry I was so distant Mom. You made my life and Randys wonderful. Couldn't ask for better parents. I've cried only twice in my life, for Dad and You.

I have a lot of good memories of visits and family gatherings. The days were filled with stories and laughter. A lot of tea was consumed over the years. Family meant a lot to my Mom and I am thankful for all of the time spent with my cousins and great-aunts. I still talk about Catherine's shag carpet bathroom and describe it to my friends. It was so awesome. Hugs to everyone.

Catherine was a wonderful person. We attended church together, when she had to go in Cambrian and couldn't drive, I know she missed church a lot and we missed her! Rest in Peace Catherine!
