Tribute & Message From The Family


Alta L."Tillie" Harris, age 91, of Onsted, died Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Gas Light Assisted Living, Adrian. She was born June 13, 1925, in Waldron, Michigan to Glen and Laura B. (Good) Stump. On July 8, 1945, she married Morris Harris in Hudson. He preceded her in death on October 10, 1983. Tillie had been employed by Kewaunee Mfg. for 13 years. She was a member of the North Rome Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, playing cards, and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
Tillie is survived by three sons, David (Sheila) Harris of Onsted, James Harris of Phoenix, Arizona, and Richard Harris and finance' Christine Yamamoto of Chesapeake Bay, Maryland; a daughter, Jane (Robert) Bunio of Anoka, Minnesota; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Morris, she was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; nine sisters; a grandchild, Michael Bunio; and a great-grandchild, Zachary Harris.
Memorial services for Alta will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian with Reverend Lloyd Jewett officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian. You may send condolences to the family at www.andersonfuneralservices.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the North Rome Baptist Church or to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian.

So sorry to hear about Tillie. We have fond memories of her and that time of our life on Butler st. We will always remember her honesty and sense of humor.
